Michael Knighton preparing bid to buy Manchester United from Glazer family

According to Michael Knighton, a former director of Manchester United, an offer to buy the team is being prepared.

The Glazer family has controlled United since 2005, and since taking over, they have been subject to intense criticism from United’s fanbase.

While protests have come and gone over the years, pressure is now building once more as a result of the club’s failure to support Erik ten Hag completely as his replacement in the transfer market and implement the necessary adjustments for the team to get to the top of the footballing globe.

Prior to United’s 2022–23 season opener against Brighton, which they lost 2-1 at home, supporters protested once more, forcing the megastore to close.

Knighton has spoken out in response to the mounting pressure on the Glazer family to sell the club, saying that he has a group prepared to make a “hostile bid” to acquire it from the current owners.
