The recent Texas Southern University graduate has just inked a first-look contract with Netflix, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Savage rapper will be creating and executive-producing original content for the streaming giant, as well as other projects.

“I’ve always had a passion for telling creative and entertaining stories, so I’m thrilled about this partnership with Netflix,” Megan stated. “Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch.”

Last weekend, the Grammy Award-winning hip-hop singer graduated from Texas Southern University in Houston with a bachelor’s degree. Texas Southern University in Houston awarded the WAP artist a bachelor’s degree in health administration.

Megan’s achievement has mostly coincided with her return to school. She’s had 11 platinum songs in the previous two years, including her viral smash “Savage,” which has sold over 4 million copies thanks to a Beyoncé-assisted remix. Megan won two Grammys for the song in 2020, for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance, the same year she was named Best New Artist.

During this time, she has branched out outside the music industry, becoming a Revlon and Mielle Organics ambassador and spearheading successful marketing campaigns for CashApp, Fashion Nova, Nike, and, most recently, Popeye’s Chicken.
