In a nail-biting finale in Jeddah, Max Verstappen pulled off a fantastic overtake in the closing moments to win the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix ahead of Charles Leclerc.
A rematch of the duel in Bahrain helped determine the winner in Saudi, with both drivers finishing without any late retirements this time.
Verstappen came down on Leclerc for the lead in the final ten circuits, but the Monegasque was as cunning as ever, and he deployed DRS down the main straight to reclaim P1.
Max, on the other hand, picked up on the strategy, and the next time they got to the DRS zone before the start/finish straight was generated, the duo locked up because neither wanted to be in the lead, with Leclerc eventually pushing the throttle and keeping position.
Verstappen, on the other hand, was unstoppable, getting the strategy just perfect at the end of lap 46 of 50, exploding by Leclerc and making it stick into turn one.
In the final circuits, Leclerc attempted to reciprocate the favor but was unable to pass Verstappen, who went on to win his first race of the season and provide the ideal reaction to his Bahrain misery.
Sergio Perez, on the other hand, was disappointed, since he had been leading nicely after a strong start from pole position.
