Max Verstappen released from hospital after high-speed collision with Lewis Hamilton

Max Verstappen has been released from hospital following his high-speed collision with Lewis Hamilton at the British Grand Prix on Sunday.

The Red Bull driver was able to walk away from the incident which saw the car hit the Silverstone barriers at great impact before being checked in the circuit medical centre.

As reported by Sky Sports, Verstappen was taken to Coventry hospital for more assessments before being released on Sunday night.

Red Bull followed up the Dutchman’s release from hospital with a statement as quoted by Sky Sports:

“We are pleased to confirm that Max was released from hospital at 22:00 this evening, following a thorough medical examination, without any major injuries.

“Max and the Team would like to thank the trackside Marshalls and medical staff for their exceptional care both on-site at Silverstone and at Coventry Hospital.”
