Manchester United considering terminating Cristiano Ronaldo’s contact

The Red Devils were crushed 4-0 by Brentford in Erik ten Hag’s second league season in charge since his departure from Ajax this summer.

After losing to Brighton 2-1 at home in their opening game of 2022–23, United knew that only a victory would do. However, things didn’t go according to plan in London.

Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen, Ben Mee, and Bryan Mbeumo’s goals gave Brentford a 4-0 lead in the 35th minute of play.

United wants to see a change in Ronaldo’s mentality before they consider terminating his contract, according to Sky Sports News and The Times.

You now believe it would be better for both sides if the Portuguese superstar’s contract with United ended as soon as possible as it only has one year left to go.

The fact that the 37-year-old scored 24 goals in all club competitions last year is proof positive that he is still among the top players in the world.

But it’s obvious that his present circumstance is having a detrimental effect on both him and United. The more harm that is done, the longer it goes on.
