After missing out on Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, Manchester City are now being offered the opportunity to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus.
Juventus are exploring the possibility of selling the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and saving on the £500,000 per-week wages he earns plus tax.
Ronaldo, who will become a free agent next summer, is ready to leave the Serie A giants with his agent Jorge Mendes looking at clubs that are willing to pay a £25m transfer fee for the 36-year-old, according to Sky Sports.
The news outlet’s Italian reporters state that City are interested in signing the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star on a free transfer on a two-year contract with a salary of £12.8m-per-season.
Juventus are willing to part ways with Ronaldo if a club offers £21.4m. However, City appear to be relaxed about the striker situation with manager Pep Guardiola remaining happy even if the club make no more signings this summer.
