Millions of dollars may have been taken from Logan Paul.
Last month, the polarizing YouTuber announced on Twitter that he had spent $3.5 million on a set of highly coveted first edition Pokémon cards. Paul proudly displayed the “sealed and authenticated box,” which he claimed to be one-of-a-kind; however, other collectors and Pokémon specialists questioned the cards’ legitimacy right once.
Paul’s card collection was thoroughly investigated by the online community PokéBeach, who discovered a lot of strange features. Inconsistencies with the product code, the tape used on the box, and the initial eBay ad for the set were all red flags.
On Wednesday, Paul took to Twitter to announce that he will be heading to Chicago this weekend to get the case validated by Baseball Card Exchange, which had previously affirmed its authenticity. BCE, on the other hand, isn’t recognized for certifying Pokémon cards, as PokéBeach points out.
