Egypt-based sources claim that Mohamed Salah’s Cairo villa was broken into.
On the opening Saturday morning kickoff against Bournemouth, the Liverpool forward started and missed a penalty kick (March 11). Yet, only 24 hours after the loss on the South Coast, reports from his native country said that when his nephew went back to the villa, he discovered that it had been broken into and looted.
When the police were called, they went to his villa and discovered stuff strewn all over the place and numerous other items missing.
“The surrounding surveillance cameras are being unloaded, and the security personnel in charge of securing the place are being interrogated,” a source told Al-Ahram. “The security services are intensifying their efforts to solve the mystery of the incident, and the necessary legal measures have been taken.”
It’s thought that Salah’s nephew became aware that something was off when he saw an open window at the villa. He then called the police, who arrived and found the mess inside the residence.
Nothing specific that was taken from Salah’s villa has been confirmed. The Egyptian outlet, on the other hand, claims that “electrical” objects and “devices” were taken from the villa.
