The 35-year-old came off the bench to help Argentina win 3-0 once more.
In the 56th minute of play, Messi came in to replace Inter Milan attacker Lautaro Martinez. A half-hour later, Messi’s left foot caused Jamaica’s net to bulge, giving La Albiceleste a 2-0 lead.
The legendary Barcelona player picked up the ball in the middle of the field, drove at the opposition’s defense, and then slammed the ball forcefully into the bottom right corner.
Messi then handed a pen to sign with, but the security crew at the stadium interfered and tackled the fan to the ground before he could finish.
The fan was so close but also so far away that you almost feel bad for them.
Messi’s first free-kick goal in well over a year gave Argentina a 3-0 lead just three minutes after his contact with the pitch invader.
