When his current deal with Paris Saint-Germain expires in 2023, Lionel Messi reportedly plans to re-join Barcelona.
Messi joined Barcelona when he was youngster and played for them for 17 years, all of which were incredibly successful.
But in 2021, his time at Barca came to an end. Messi wanted to stay longer but was unable to due to Barcelona’s financial difficulties.
He signed a two-year contract with PSG and is currently succeeding there.
But it appears that his stay in France will end at the end of the current season.
The reason for this is that Argentine journalist Veronica Brunati has said he will rejoin Barca after the 2022–23 season.
Brunati is among the most reliable journalists in Argentina and is close to Messi’s camp, according to ESPN editor David Cartlidge.
Brunati has also been praised by sportswriter and commentator Andy West for her expertise.
