Lionel Messi on verge of Inter Miami transfer

 

 

According to reports, Major League Soccer club Inter Miami is getting more and more certain that they have a contract for Lionel Messi and will reunite the Argentine with two of his former Barcelona teammates.

The 35-year-current old’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires next summer, but there may be a clause that, if both the player and the club agree, would trigger a one-year extension.

But as he approaches the end of his career, Messi has long been rumored to be considering a move to the MLS. There have even been rumors that he would consider a return to Camp Nou.

 

The Times is now reporting that Inter Miami, which is co-owned by David Beckham, is close to reaching a deal with Messi that will see him go to the USA at the conclusion of the current season.

The agreement surpasses even the contract Beckham himself signed when he joined the LA Galaxy in 2007 and would make the Argentine great the highest-paid player in MLS history.

When a charm offensive that has lasted for years, led by Beckham, Inter Miami believes they have finally secured their man. An official announcement may be made after the World Cup is over.

 

Inter Miami wants to sign two of Messi’s closest pals to assist him adjust to life in Florida, which will further encourage him to join the team.

Miami is looking to bring in Cesc Fabregas and Luis Suarez from Barcelona as they can both play and off the field complement the experienced playmaker.
