Back in 2020, the Quality Control rapper made it known that he was seeking for $100,000 for a guest verse—an unquestionably great deal given that he had worked on songs like DJ Khaled’s “You Stay,” Yo Gotti’s “Put a Date on It,” and Travis Scott’s “Highest in the Room” remix in addition to Future and Drake’s “Life Is Good” remix. In a May 2016 interview with Big Boy, Vince Staples stated that Lil Baby had waived the $100,000 charge for his “East Point Prayer” verse, confirming the feature price.
Lil Durk of Chicago and QC boss Pierre “Pee” Thomas agreed that Lil Baby’s asking price should be doubled because it was far too low.
Lil Baby appears to have heeded the advice because his rate has increased significantly. During an appearance on Big Loon’s The Experience podcast, he discussed the rise.
“I don’t even be doing features no more,” he said when asked what he charges for a verse. “Like, $300,000, $350,000. But I ain’t been doing features lately.”
Lil Baby revealed that he had to put a halt to his guest spots since he had to focus on his new project, but he is ready to join a track when he has the opportunity.
Lil Baby says he’s getting about $250K-$300K for a feature right now
