With cameo appearances from Ella Mai, Flo Milli, Chlöe Bailey, Halle, Bailey Angie Martinez, Nadeska Alexis, Tiffany “New York” Pollard, Angela Simmons, and more, Latto has released the star-studded video for her 777 tune “It’s Givin.”
In addition to the impressive star power visible in the “It’s Givin” graphics, Latto and video director Chandler Lass did a fantastic job of incorporating women of many body types, sizes, and backgrounds into various settings.
Latto recently joined forces with Planned Parenthood to promote abortion rights in light of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade as part of her ongoing efforts to empower women.
“We already know who’s going to be hurt the most by these ridiculous abortion bans,” Latto said in a previous statement. “Black women, Brown women, the LGBTQ+ community, and communities with low incomes. Because of this country’s history of racism and discrimination, these folks already have a hard time getting the health care they need. We all deserve to be safe and it’s every person’s right to make decisions about their own bodies. As an artist, I want to use my platform to let these politicians know: My body is for no one to control, but me.”
