Back in 2012, news broke all over the internet when Kim Kardashian’s perfume launch at the London Hotel in West Hollywood was flour bombed. The 42-year-former old’s media strategist is now asserting that everything was a publicity stunt.
Media strategist Sheeraz Hasan claimed he was part of the scheme to help market Kardashian’s fragrance True Reflection in the new Channel 4 documentary The Kardashians: A Billion Dollar Industry, which details the incident, according to the New York Post. Hasan asserted that the reality star gave the go-ahead for him to be flour bombed.
“‘Okay this is what’s going to happen, you’re going to be fine, you’re going to be safe, but we’re going to create a media moment,’” Hasan said, allegedly recalling what he said to Kardashian. “‘If we create media gold, guess what’s going to happen? Everyone’s going to be talking about your perfume, everyone’s going to buy it.’”
At the time, Kardashian spoke with E! about the flour bomb incident, saying she was taken by surprise. “That probably is the craziest, unexpected… thing that ever happened to me.” She went on to make light of the situation, explaining that she needed more makeup. “Like I said to my make-up artist, I wanted more powder, and that’s a whole lot of translucent powder right there.”
In the end, Kardashian decided not to file a police report, and the attacker was ultimately let go by the authorities. Additionally, the incident was covered by Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The founder of SKKN conjectured that the attacker was a proponent of animal rights during the occurrence. According to reports, the assailant yelled “fur hag” as he threw the powder at the reality star.
