Kanye West posts ‘Skete Davidson dead at 28’ following Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian’s split

Kanye West appears to have replied to rumors that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson had broken up their well-known relationship with a photoshopped front-page New York Times piece.

As you can see in the edited image below, the humorous title “SKETE DAVIDSON DEAD AT AGE 28” makes reference to Ye’s formerly popular nickname for Pete and will be picked up on by fans.

While it will probably be assumed that this is a continuation of Ye’s ongoing public campaign against Pete, who can now be seen in this month’s A24 slasher Bodies Bodies Bodies, it is also possible to interpret this as the culmination of the greater Skete Davidson era. To put it another way, it’s possible that the fake Times front-page image was created to draw attention to the fact that the nickname and all of its associated components, which have featured an animated Skete head among other things, have been discontinued.
