Kanye West pays tribute to his late friend Virgil Abloh at Sunday service

Kanye West dedicated the newest installment of his Sunday Service series to his close friend Virgil Abloh, as the world continues to mourn his unexpected death.

Ye gathered the Sunday Service Choir to memorialize the late cultural hero shortly after an official statement that Virgil had lost his private two-year fight with cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare aggressive type of cancer. Ye then broadcasted a webcast of the heartfelt tribute to Virgil Abloh. A cover of Adele’s “Easy On Me” was included in the mournful medley, which was followed by a statement that read, “IN LOVING MEMORY OF VIRGIL ABLOH, THE CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF DONDA.”
