Kanye West has stated that he is ready to put his beef with Drake to rest

Kanye West has publicly said that he is willing to make peace with Drake, putting an end to an on-again, off-again dispute that has lasted since at least 2009.

The news comes just days after West featured on the latest edition of N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s Drink Champs podcast, where he stated that he would “absolutely” face Drake in a Verzuz episode and discussed Drake’s alleged approach to the not-so-subtle art of beefing.

“Drake don’t do an outright diss song where it’s a headshot. He’s gonna set it up like war,” West said on the show. “He’s gonna do stuff like, live five blocks down the street from you. He’s gonna go and DM every single girl in your family, every single girl around your family. All your n****s’ girls. It’s away games and home games. This is professional rap.”

Overnight, however, West teamed up with J. Prince to give Drake a truce, inviting him to cooperate on a live event commemorating “the two biggest albums of the year” (West’s “DONDA” and Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy”). The potential event would also be a way for the two to raise awareness for Larry Hoover, who is currently serving six life sentences for gang-related offenses.
