On Wednesday, Justin Bieber used his Instagram Story to show to his followers that he can move both sides of his face, despite having Ramsay Hunt Syndrome-related facial paralysis.
“Wait for it” is the caption accompanying the video as Justin Bieber checks the area. Then, just before he makes a wide smile, the camera closes in.
The 29-year-old singer postponed the final performances of his Justice world tour, which featured appearances in the United Kingdom, France, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, and the Czech Republic, at the beginning of the month owing to his diagnosis.
He first shared that he was suffering from the syndrome last June, which left half of his face paralyzed. “So for those who are frustrated by my cancelations of the next shows, I’m just physically, obviously, not capable of doing them,” Bieber said in a video posted to social media. “This is pretty serious, as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case, but, obviously, my body is telling me I gotta slow down.”
“Each day has gotten better and through all of the discomfort I have found comfort in the one who designed me and knows me. I’m reminded he knows all of me,” he continued. “He know the darkest parts of me that I want no one to know about and he constantly welcomes me into his loving arms. This perspective has give me peace during this horrific storm that I’m facing.”
