Judge Denies Request to Remove Jamie Spears from Britney Spears’ Conservatorship

Britney Spears’s request to have her father removed from managing her conservatorship has been denied by a US judge.

Back in November, the pop pioneer’s lawyer asked an LA court to end Jamie Spears monitoring of her estate. Jamie has had control of the conservatorship since 2008 and Britney wanted him removed as her only conservator, as her lawyers claimed that she was “afraid of her father”.

When she spoke in a testimony in court last week, Britney stated in a 23-minute speech that had been prevented from having children, drugged, and forced to perform against her own will, the BBC reports.

As Britney asked the court to end her conservatorship, she said to them over the phone, “I just want my life back.”
