Jorge Masvidal fractured Colby Covington’s tooth in alleged street attack

Following a fight between UFC fighters Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal outside a Miami Beach restaurant on Monday night, the former has alleged that the latter assaulted him and fractured his teeth.

Masvidal reportedly hit Covington in the face twice outside the Papi Steak restaurant, shattering his left front teeth and creating an abrasion to his wrist and damage to his watch, according to Covington.

According to police records obtained by TMZ, Covington told detectives that as he was leaving the Miami hotspot, Masvidal “ran up to him from his left, and without notice, punched him with a closed fist two times in the face,”

According to the police report, Covington claimed that one of Masvidal’s hits struck him in the mouth, while the other struck him in the left eye, and that the Miami, Florida-born boxer shouted at him, “you shouldn’t have been talking about my kids.”

According to the police report, additional men tried to get involved in the fight, but Covington shoved one of them away and then rushed inside the restaurant to contact the cops.

Masvidal is identified as a suspect in the documents, and the event was recorded as a battery/felony, according to a police spokeswoman.
