Joey BADASS drops off new video for “Where I Belong”

Joey Badass makes a comeback with the release of his new single “Where I Belong” in advance of the upcoming release of his third studio album, 2000. A music video for the song was also released.

Joey is exposed on the tune, which was produced by Statik Selektah, as he raps about attempting to maintain his composure in the

face of success and popularity.

“Tryna get my thoughts together/I say a prayer every day, hopin’ it all get better/I talk to God a lot, these verses is like open letters/I know that nothin’ really last forever,” he spits on the closing verse.

The previously released songs “The Rev3nge” and “Head High” are followed by “Where I Belong.” On Joey’s next album, “Where I Belong” and “Head High” are both included. It was originally supposed to drop on June 17, 2000, but sample clearing concerns forced a delay. Joey revised the release date of the album to July 22 on Friday. Via Pro Era/Columbia Records, 2000 will be released.
