Jason Sudeikis arrived at the Ted Lasso Season 2 premiere by showing his support for Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka with a shirt in tribute to the England trio.

The three players who missed their penalties during England’s Euro 2020 final defeat against Italy at Wembley on Sunday, have all been targeted with online racial abuse.

Despite the heartbreak for England in missing out on the chance to bring football back home for the first time since the 1966 World Cup, the country can be proud of their national team’s performances.

American soccer fans have also been mesmerised by Gareth Southgate’s England, who also made the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup. Ted Lasso, which is shown on Apple TV+, has been very popular with new fans of the sport as Sudeikis plays the role of an American coach recruited by a Premier League club.

As reported by Deadline, the actor turned up at the premiere event at the Pacific Design Center wearing a black sweater with the first names of the three players printed on the front.
