Day Shift, an action comedy starring Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, and Snoop Dogg as modern vampire hunters, has unveiled its first trailer by Netflix.
Day Shift, directed by renowned stuntman and first-time director J.J. Perry (stunt coordinator on Fast & Furious 9 and John Wick: Chapter 2), stars Jamie Foxx as a family man who pretends to be a pool cleaner in the San Fernando Valley while actually being equipped to fight the undead.
A small portion of Franco’s character, who has recently entered the industry and wets himself during his first vamp encounter, is shown in the trailer. Snoop Dogg’s involvement is also hinted at as he assists Foxx’s Reid in rejoining the vampire-hunting union. “You know what I see when I see a vamp? A big ol’ dollar sign,” says Reid. There’s also a reference to the Twilight series.
Although the Netflix movie is produced by Chad Stahelski, the director of the John Wick trilogy, the trailer doesn’t hold back on the bloodshed.
