Prior to his death, Tupac was asked by Jada Pinkett Smith not to beat up her then-boyfriend Will Smith when they were initially going out.
Outlawz rapper Napoleon revealed to The Art of Dialogue that Tupac was hurt by Pinkett Smith as she started dating Will Smith. She had told Pac to refrain from attacking her new boyfriend, a demand that frustrated him.
Napoloen is quoted by Hollywood Unlocked saying: “He was very upset. Pac came in the room [and] was like ‘Jada, she gonna contact me and tell me don’t do nothing to Will Smith.’ Pac was upset and said ‘I don’t know why she thinks I would have tried to make some problems with Will Smith. ‘ He had a lot of love for Jada Pinkett at the time.”
Tupac allegedly didn’t have any problems with Will and was disappointed that Jada thought otherwise. A fortnight before the rapper’s 50th birthday, Pinkett Smith posted a poem that was dedicated to her.
