The much-anticipated first trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has been released by Lucasfilm.

Our first look at the fifth installment of the well-liked action-adventure series, the first one without a Steven Spielberg or George Lucas story credit, gives us a preview of Indy’s most recent journey. His goddaughter Helena, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is with him as he battles a Nazi menace once more. A de-aged Harrison Ford and the characters played by John Rhys-Davies, Mads Mikkelsen, Toby Jones, and Antonio Banderas are also briefly seen in the trailer.

James Mangold, who previously directed 2017’s Logan and 2019’s Ford v Ferrari, directed The Dial of Destiny, which is set in the 1960s during the Space Race between Soviet Russia and the United States. According to Variety, Lucas is still engaged on the movie’s script in some capacity, and Spielberg has been brought on as an executive producer.

Ford, 80, will most certainly make his final appearance as the legendary character in the movie, and it’s also possible that this could be his final acting role. John Williams, a 90-year-old composer, has revealed that it would be his last work. “At the moment I’m working on ‘Indiana Jones 5,’ which Harrison Ford—who’s quite a bit younger than I am—I think has announced will be his last film,” said Williams in an interview with Associated Press earlier this year. “So, I thought: If Harrison can do it, then perhaps I can, also.”
