Ime Udoka, the coach of the Boston Celtics, and Nia Long, an actress, have decided to part ways as a result of the former’s suspected relationship with a coworker.

A source confirmed that Long and Udoka are “no longer together but remain fully committed to co-parenting their son,” according to a story in People that the pair has decided to end their 13-year romance.

“The situation is unfortunate and painful, but Nia is focusing on her children and rebuilding her life,” the insider added.

Udoka was previously suspended by the Celtics for the entirety of the 2022–23 NBA season when it was revealed that he had an improper, consensual relationship with a member of the staff.

“I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down,” Udoka said in a statement at the time. “I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team’s decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment.”

Days after talking about the Udoka affair in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the couple announced their split. Long blamed the Celtics organization for how it handled the situation, even though she did not mention her romantic status.
