Fans of Harry Potter may now look forward to the long-awaited reunion. Warner Bros. and HBO Max are bringing the cast of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone back together for a new reunion special to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the premiere of the classic franchise’s first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. The first teaser trailer for Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, which will premiere on HBO Max on New Year’s Day, is officially here.
According to the new teaser, Harry Potter actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson will all be in the reunion. It would be difficult to put on an event like this without the trio who launched the brand, so fans will be relieved to learn that all three will be in attendance. The teaser doesn’t give the whole guest list for the reunion, but it does confirm a number of them.
The teaser notably mentions Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, and Evanna Lynch as past franchise performers who would feature in Return to Hogwarts.
HBO Max debuted the first Return to Hogwarts sneak peek during a new episode of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses on Sunday night. The teaser, which you can see below, shows a couple of popular Harry Potter characters receiving their letters in the mail.
