Harry Styles Pledges $1 Million to Gun Safety Group Everytown

Following last week’s mass shooting at Uvalde, Texas, in which 19 kids and two instructors were killed, Harry Styles has committed $1 million to a gun prevention organization.

The pop musician will make a donation to the Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund as part of his upcoming North American tour to promote his new album, Harry’s House, and Live Nation will match it.

“Along with all of you, I have been absolutely devastated by the recent string of mass shootings in America, culminating at Robb Elementary School in Texas,” Styles wrote on Instagram. “On our North American tour, we will be partnering with Everytown who work to end gun violence, donating to support their efforts, and sharing their suggested action items.”

Styles’ tour has already sold out all 42 dates, with the artist selling an estimated 720,000 tickets in 2021, according to Rolling Stone. According to Hits Daily Double, the new album is predicted to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 list for the third time, and Styles is expected to garner between 450,000 and 500,000 equivalent album sales.
