According to Billboard, the song had the best first-week streaming statistics of any song this year.

Harry Styles released “As It Was” on the last day of March, the lead single from his third studio album, Harry’s House, which will be released on May 20 via Columbia. The song has debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list after its first full week of existence. And now, according to the magazine, the song has received more first-week streams than any other single this year.

Styles’ statement came as he gears up for his Harry’s House tour. He’ll provide a sneak peek of his summer set this weekend at Coachella, where he’ll be joined by Billie Eilish, the Weeknd, and Swedish House Mafia after Kanye West’s late withdrawal from the roster. In June, he’ll begin off a lengthy European tour with a series of Mitski-sponsored stadium gigs in the United Kingdom.
