Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane decided not to show up for pre-season training at Spurs amid his future at the club with reports linking him with a move to Manchester City.
The England and Tottenham captain was scheduled to report to training at Hotspur Way on Monday after a short holiday following on from the end of Euro 2020.
As reported by Sky Sports in May, Kane told the north-Londoners that he wanted to leave the club this summer with Man City, Manchester United and Chelsea interested.
The news outlet also reported that Premier League champions City made a £100m bid for the 28-year-old. The striker insists that he has a gentlemen’s agreement with Daniel Levy that he can be allowed to leave Tottenham this summer and is said to be valued at £120m.
When speaking to Sky Sports, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano believes that the situation surrounding Kane’s future will be clearer by next week.
“I expect some complicated weeks ahead, because the situation is really, really tense.
“I think this week everything will be clear. Tottenham need to take a position, and Manchester City are ready if their position changes.
“This week will be key to understand what will happen.”
