Gunna’s ‘DS4EVER’ takes the top spot on the Billboard 200, beating out The Weeknd

Gunna’s album is currently No. 1 on the Billboard 200 list.

According to MRC Data, his current album DS4EVER achieved 150,300 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending January 13. Gunna’s album reached the top of the charts after Hits Daily Double predicted he would sell 144,000 equivalent album units, with 3,000 being conventional album sales. 21 Savage, Chris Brown, Future, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, and Young Thug all contribute to the album’s 19 tracks.

This is Gunna’s second number one album, and his fourth to reach the top ten. Wunna, from the year 2020, got the top rank as well.

Dawn FM, The Weeknd’s second successful album, was predicted to sell around 157,000 units, with 15,000 in conventional sales.
It’s no wonder that both tracks rule supreme after a frenetic week of promoting P and Jim Carrey radio bits. However, these figures pale in contrast to the most amazing first-week album revenues of 2021. In its first week, Drake’s Certified Lover Boy sold 613,000 equivalent album copies, while Kanye West’s Donda sold 309,000. The Weeknd’s last album, 2020’s After Hours, received 444,000 views on YouTube. Dawn FM, on the other hand, did not have any physical sales in its initial week and did not follow a typical advertising cycle, all of which contributed to it falling short of its predecessor.
