GTA 6 will reportedly feature a Latina woman as a protagonist

Grand Theft Auto VI from Rockstar Games won’t be released for at least another year, but there are currently rumors that the protagonist character will be a Latina woman.

In a thorough analysis for Bloomberg, Jason Schreier, a number of intriguing things have come to light. The most significant is that one of the characters is a woman for the first time in the history of the series. According to reports, GTA VI will have two major characters, and the plot will be inspired by Bonnie and Clyde. Three leads—Michael, Trevor, and Franklin—were present in the final episode of the series.

At the beginning of 2021, rumors of GTA’s first female protagonist appeared, and many fans welcomed the information.

It is rumored that a fictional Miami and the surrounding environs would serve as the setting for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game. Early concepts for the project included regions in both North and South America, with the developer intending to make it the largest GTA to date. These ideas were later scaled back by Rockstar, and now the intention is to gradually add more cities and other content after the game has been released. More interior areas than in any other game in the franchise will be a primary focus.

Rockstar anticipates releasing GTA VI during the 2024 fiscal year (which could be anytime between April 2023 and March 2024). Even though work has reportedly been patchy, work began back in 2014, according to sources with direct knowledge of the situation. Red Dead Redemption 2, which was released on PS4 and Xbox One in 2018, was the studio’s most recent significant release.
