Gareth Bale has been criticised for not attending Real Madrid’s La Liga title celebrations

Gareth Bale has been criticised for missing Real Madrid’s celebrations following their La Liga title victory at the Bernabeu.

Madrid won the Spanish crown with four games to spare after defeating Espanyol 4-0 on Saturday.

Rodrygo’s brace, as well as goals from Marco Asensio and Karim Benzema in the second half, helped Real reclaim the title from arch rivals Atletico Madrid.

After the game, the team celebrated with their families on the pitch at the Bernabeu, with the club’s injured and suspended players also taking part.

Bale, who had withdrew from the team before of the encounter owing to back problems, was not present.

Bale was not there for the celebrations, according to Spanish journalist Lucas Navarette.

“Injured and suspended players have join the team’s celebration now. Each and every one of them. But not Gareth Bale,” he tweeted.
