The gunman who was responsible for killing 17 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018 is facing new charges after attacking a jail guard.
As reported by AP News, the altercation happened nine months after the shooting at Parkland, Florida in February 2018.
In the video shown in court on Wednesday accused of these fresh charges, Cruz was walking around in circles away from prison guard Sgt. Raymond Beltran.
The two then exchanged words after Beltran told investigators that he asked Cruz not to drag his feet and damage his sandals:
