F1 driver Lando Norris mugged after Euro 2020 final with his £40k McLaren watch stolen

McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris was mugged after the Euro 2020 final which saw Italy defeat England on penalties at Wembley on Sunday night as his team-issued McLaren watch was stolen.

Norris was about to depart in his McLaren car, which was parked in the stadium’s official car park when he was attacked by two men with his watch worth £40,000 taken from him.

McClaren announced that their driver was “unharmed but understandably shaken” in a statement as the BBC reports the incident is being investigated by police.

Norris, who is currently fourth in the F1 world championship standings heading into the British Grand Prix this weekend, was a guest in a corporate box at Wembley.

More than 50 arrests were made at Wembley on Sunday with supporters fighting one another as well as breaches into the stadium from those without a ticket prior to kick-off.
