Chloe Cherry, the star of Euphoria, reportedly got caught shoplifting a blouse for $28.

The actress, 25, is charged with stealing the item on December 27, 2022, while out shopping in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, according to Lancaster Online. The theft, according to the authorities, happened at Jenny & the Clowder, a store inside the Building Character complex.

Police were shown security footage from a store employee that showed Cherry entering a dressing room while wearing a Moda International shirt. The worker informed police that Cherry used a credit card to pay for other products, but neither the aforementioned clothing nor its transaction were ever charged.

When Cherry was confronted by police about the event, they claim that she admitted to having taken the blouse before giving it to them. Her counsel, however, claimed that law enforcement was giving an inaccurate account of what had happened.

“In December, there was confusion over a blouse that wasn’t properly charged to my client’s credit card,” the rep said. “In no way did she ‘admit’ to taking the blouse, since that was not the case. This story seems to be more about a local store trading on a celebrity’s name more than anything else.”

Cherry is charged with retail theft on one misdemeanor count. The date of her initial court appearance is March 1.
