Erik ten Hag set to become new Manchester United manager

Manchester United is about to name Ajax’s Erik Ten Hag as their new permanent manager.

According to various sources, the Dutchman has held productive negotiations with the club and will be announced soon, with a number of high-profile transfer targets connected with Old Trafford transfers.

There are a number of former Ajax players being linked with a move to Manchester, as well as a handful of current Premier League stars that the Red Devils are said to be interested in.

Harry Kane, Ruben Neves, and Declan Rice have all been linked with transfers, according to reports. Last summer, Kane was at the center of a transfer speculation involving United’s neighbours Man City, and with Cristiano Ronaldo set to leave at the end of this season, the England captain is the frontrunner to take his position as striker.

United’s midfield has also been chastised. Declan Rice and Ruben Neves are quite different possibilities, but although Rice is valued at well over £100 million by Europa League-chasing West Ham United, Neves was said to be on the verge of departing last summer – and may be a viable target.

According to the Guardian, Steve McLaren will be named as Ten Hag’s personal assistant. When McClaren was in charge of Twente in the Eredivisie in 2008/09, Ten Hag served as his assistant.

Transfermarkt has Kane valued at roughly £90 million , Rice at around £68 million , and Neves at around £36 million – however each player might cost much more.
