Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Other Artists Appear in the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show Trailer

The official trailer for the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show has been released, including several of the artists that will perform as well as several of their hit songs.

The trailer, titled “The Call,” opens with Eminem fighting his past Slim Shady persona before moving to Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and Dr. Dre all receiving phone calls. After then, the film switches to all five musicians arriving at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, which is hosting this year’s Super Bowl.

The trailer is directed by F. Gary Gray (The Fate of the Furious, Straight Outta Compton) and is scored by Emmy-nominated music director and Grammy award-winning writing Adam Blackstone, who mixed various hits by all five superstars.

“Each time I collaborate with Dre, it seems to mark an important moment in entertainment history, from projects like Friday, Set It Off, Straight Outta Compton, to now the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show,” said F. Gary Gray. “As a super fan, I consider it an honor and privilege to authentically build and create this moment with five of the most legendary artists in music history. It’s been a blast!”

Super Bowl LVI is set to take place on February 13, 2022, and will be available to watch on NBC on television, as well as digitally on the Peacock streaming service.
