Eminem’s ‘Curtain Call’ record makes hip-hop history, spending full decade on Billboard 200

Eminem’s iconic compilation album Curtain Call: The Hits became the first and only hip-hop record to last a full decade on the Billboard 200 chart.

According to Forbes via Hypebeast, Eminem’s 2005 project has spent a whopping 520 weeks – equalling Guns N Roses’ Greatest Hits time on the magazine chart – since its last update ending on March 27th. The all-time longest running album on Billboard 200 is Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon at 958 weeks.

Em’s Curtain Call was the rapper’s first compilation album, released in December 2005, as the 17-track piece features his famous hits including “Lose Yourself,” “The Real Slim Shady,” “My Name Is,” and “Stan”.

Four years later, Eminem made further history with his comeback record Relapse, which became the best-selling hip-hop album of 2009.
