Elon Musk Suggests Buying Twitter at His Original Price

According to a report released on Tuesday, Elon Musk has suggested buying Twitter for the original offer price.

Indeed, according to a report released by Bloomberg on Tuesday, “people familiar with the matter” allege that Musk wrote to Twitter and offered to purchase the firm at a share price of $54.20.

In his most recent attempt to withdraw from the original Twitter agreement, Musk referenced claims made by a Twitter whistleblower in August. The revelation of this generated a lot of discussion on social media and elsewhere. Musk has stated his support for former president Donald Trump’s return to the platform following his permanent suspension due to the fatal Capitol riot in the midst of the debate.

Twitter said last month that a merger agreement, under which Musk will buy the company for the previously stated $54.20 per share, had been approved by shareholders. The topic of bots has been a recurring point of contention for Musk, who has claimed that information is being suppressed.

Twitter was confirmed to have sued Musk over his claims about canceling the multibillion-dollar agreement earlier in the drawn-out exchange. The goal, according to Musk’s team, was to “understand how many of Twitter’s claimed mDAUs were, in fact, fake or spam accounts,” according to an SEC filing from the time.
