
Just as a football match was ready to get underway in Bolivia, a ‘dust devil’ whirlwind halted proceedings before kick-off.
‘Dust devils’, which are often mistaken for tornados, roll over land, picking up dust and debris in the process, forming a downward motion of wind, not upward.
As reported by The Guardian, the dust devil took place in the middle of a regional tournament final in Achocalla. As shown in the video below, clothes were blown into the air as players tried avoiding the whirlwind.
