Drake appears to be confirming that he was detained in Sweden.
In an Instagram post, Drake wrote: “The funds are useful / the lyrics are truthful / the suspects are usual / the opps are delusional / the finish line is beautiful / and the disrespect is mutual / see you in 23.”
His Instagram post included a picture of him and 21 Savage as well as a video showing him being arrested by Swedish police. This would support the rap line, “Swedish jail cell, smellin’ like some Carby Musk,” from Her Loss’ s “Middle of the Ocean.”
Drake was allegedly detained on marijuana-related charges back in July while he was enjoying himself in a Swedish nightclub. Nevertheless, despite the trending hashtag #FreeDrake, his team has rejected any reports that he has been detained.
When he shared a number of images from his vacation to Sweden, the mysterious Drake kind of confirmed his arrest (or detention). One of the images was a handout Swedish law enforcement gives out when they suspect criminal activity. The Polisen publication “Information for Those Suspected of a Crime and Subsequently Detained”
