On Thursday, the Toronto rapper revealed on social media that he’s wagering $200,000 Canadian—roughly $158,623 American—on the Dubs to win the Western Conference. If Steph Curry leads his team to the NBA Finals, Drake stands to win almost $793,000 USD.
Curry, who has been out with a foot ailment since March 16, is expected to play in Golden State’s season opener against the Denver Nuggets.
The Warriors have the second-best (+350) chances in the Western Conference to reach the NBA Finals, only behind the Phoenix Suns, according to FanDuel Sportsbook (-110).
This isn’t Drake’s first huge wager of the year. Drizzy won $1.4 million after betting $1.26 million on Odell Beckham Jr.’s first-quarter score and the Los Angeles Rams’ victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI in February.
Drake, on the other hand, lost $100,000 last month after choosing the Duke Blue Devils to win their Final Four showdown against the North Carolina Tar Heels. UNC won by a score of 81-77.
Drake just dropped a MASSIVE $200K bet on the Warriors to win the West 👀
