Dr. Dre’s oldest daughter, LaTanya Young, 38, has revealed that she is living out of a rented car and is struggling to make a living for herself and her family.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Young stated that her four children are staying with friends whilst she lives in a rented SUV.
“My kids are staying with friends — they are not living in the car, it’s just me,” she explained as quoted by Complex. “I’m taking odd jobs just to make it now — I got paid $15 an hour as an assembler at the warehouse. I’m trying to keep my head above water. I’ve been in debt for a while.”
Young also revealed that the only communication she has had with her father over the last 18 years has been indirect, talking to his team instead.
She also explained that since January 2020, she hasn’t received any financial support from Dre having cut off funding her.
Young also revealed that she is currently working as a Door Dash and Uber Eats driver but said running the SUV to live and work from is too expensive.
“I have friends and family that will let us come back and forth, but the majority of the time I’m living out of my car,” she said.
