Don Diablo’s hour-long concert sells as an NFT for $1.2 million

Dutch DJ Don Diablo has made history as his hour-long concert has been the first to be sold as an NFT for around $1.2 million [€1 million], or in cryptocurrency terms, 600 Ethereum.

The NFT will be sent to the auction winner through a USB stick, with the video file to the concert titled Destination Hexagonia.

Diablo is quoted by DJ Mag saying, “At this point, we almost feel like this particular piece has become priceless because we worked on it for almost a year and put an incredible amount of love and effort into it. What’s next? I’ve got some incredibly exciting collaborations lined up and I cannot wait to share it with the world very soon, this is just the beginning.”

Diablo will also be donating a portion of the profits to the HEXAGON Foundation which he created “in order to help artists in the NFT space.”
