David Brooks, a midfielder for Bournemouth and Wales, has been diagnosed with stage two Hodgkin Lymphoma.
The 24-year-old, who joined Bournemouth from Sheffield United in 2018, was forced to withdraw from the most recent Wales squad due to sickness, which he disclosed on Wednesday in a statement on his social media pages.
Hodgkin Lymphoma is a cancer that originates in the lymphatic system, which is a part of the body’s immune system. It primarily affects young adults in their early twenties or extremely older persons over the age of 70.
