Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly leaves stadium before end of match

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to action for Manchester United against Rayo Vallecano, but it appears like he left Old Trafford before the final whistle.

Ronaldo has been absent from United’s preseason to this far due to rumors that he wants to leave the team.

The team explained Ronaldo’s continuing absence as being due to “personal reasons.”

Ronaldo, though, made a comeback when the Red Devils played host to Rayo Vallecano in their last preseason friendly.

When the Portuguese superstar initially came out of the tunnel to warm up at the Threatre of Dreams, he appeared to get a positive reaction.

The sole change Erik ten Hag made at halftime was to replace Ronaldo, who had played for the opening 45 minutes of the friendly, with Amad Diallo.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner didn’t appear to be match-ready throughout his 45 minutes, which is probably not unexpected given that the majority of the players had previously participated in a number of friendlies before to this game.

Within a few minutes of entering the game as his replacement, Diallo, scored the game’s first goal.

However, following Alvaro Garcia’s equalizer with 30 minutes left, United ended their preseason campaign in a tie.

However, it’s debatable whether Ronaldo watched the second half.

Since it’s being asserted that he departed the stadium before the final whistle, this is the case.
