Just hours after Coolio’s death was announced, his longtime manager Jarez confirmed the information to TMZ on Wednesday. According to Jarez, the renowned artist went to the bathroom while visiting a friend’s house in Los Angeles. The friend started calling out to Coolio when he saw that the rapper hadn’t returned in a timely manner but received no response. Later, Coolio was discovered by the friend on the restroom floor.
Emergency services were called right away, according to TMZ, and they soon showed up at the residence. Artis Leon Ivey Jr.’s son, Coolio, was pronounced dead at the scene.
EMTs believe he passed away from cardiac arrest, according to Jarez, even though authorities have not yet confirmed a cause of death. Police stated that they are looking into the death but have not discovered any indications of misdeeds or drug or related gear.
