Liverpool owner John W. Henry has apologised to the club’s supporters after a dramatic last 48 hours that has seen the Reds enter and later withdraw from the European Super League.
The club had confirmed its exit from the breakaway competition in a short statement on Tuesday night after fellow Premier League clubs Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur also withdrew.
