Chelsea won the FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday, defeating Palmeiras 2-1 in extra time.

 

After a scoreless first half, Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku gave the Blues the lead in the 54th minute at Abu Dhabi’s Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.

The Palmeiras’ Raphael Veiga equalized ten minutes later, and the game finished 1-1 in regular time.

While everyone anticipated the game to go to a penalty shootout, Kai Havertz enthralled Chelsea supporters with a late goal in the 117th minute, and Chelsea triumphed 2-1.

Al Ahli SC defeated Al Hilal SFC 4-0 in the third-place match at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

Al Ahli’s Yasser Ibrahim scored twice in the eighth and seventeenth minutes, while the Saudi team’s other two goals came from Ahmed Abdlkader in the 40th minute and Amro Elsoulia in the 64th minute.
